Andy Carter goes Danish!

Håkan Nilsson leaps away from the starting line, with all his candles lit, on another 4.8 second run. This is the top flight, state-of-the-art Top Fuel dragster (belonging to Per and Karsten Andersen) in which two-time FIA Top Fuel Champion Andy Carter will now be handling the driving chores.
After barely being able to grasp the unbelievable news that Håkan Nilsson was stepping out of the cockpit of the Landmeco/Veidec Top Fuel dragster after winning a fairy-tale FIA Top Fuel championship in his rookie year, Andy Carter has been quick to dive in and forge a deal with Per and Karsten Andersen to run their state of the art Top Fuel rail on the European Top Fuel tour in 2007. This, surely, must place Andy at the best possible position to contend for the FIA European championship with all the very best of equipment at his disposal.
The Carter Motorsport team were delighted to make the announcement:
‘What an amazing year
for Carter Motorsport! said Andy Carter. All the hard work is really paying off

and the coverage since then has been fantastic.’ he continued. ‘I am delighted
to make this announcement. The car is simply awesome and we know it’s
competitive after the outstanding season had by the team last year. It really is
a state-of-the-art Top Fuel machine, capable of the consistent 4.8’s that we
believe will be needed to win the title this year. The Andersen Racing team have
already stated that 4.7’s have to be the objective for this season and I am more
than ready to do all I can to see those numbers on the board. Per and Karsten
have been good friends for over 10 years now and I am really looking forward to
working with them. I would like to thank all those who have helped to get me to
this point. I know that without your help and support, none of this would have
